If you can't stand on your own, you'll always depend on someone.
Just a few thoughts running through my head. As always I've been noticing a few things. While having someone to lean on is necessary, it is not always a necessity. The need for someone to always be there can't be healthy. Sometimes you have to stand on your own, stand your ground and remember that the legs you stand on are your own and no one elses. How else would you know if you've really grown? When we were young our parents taught us how to stand and let us go when we took our first steps. We fell, but after bumps and bruises somehow we found our way back up and kept on going. So what's different now? Perhaps those bumps and bruises are more painful. Perhaps the fall is much harder. Escpecially when you know there won't be anyone to catch you, give us band aids and kiss our wounds. Maybe. But wouldn't that mean standing up on your own would also feel so much greater? I think so.

Real talk, definitely something that people overlook these days.
